Meet Ante Kelić

I'm the founder of Kel Building Consultancy — an independent building consultancy operating across Victoria.

My connection to the construction industry began long before my formal career. Growing up in a family construction business, I was immersed in the industry from the age of twelve — helping with business administration, writing cheques, and completing tax documentation for my migrant parents. It was an early lesson in both the demands of the industry and the importance of getting the details right.

That foundation led to over 25 years of hands-on professional experience across construction, project management, and property development — underpinned by a Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Management completed at RMIT with First Class Honours. The same precision and attention to detail instilled in me as a child defines my approach to every client engagement today.

I'm known for a methodical, organised approach to complex problems. Where others see a building, I see a system of interdependent components — each with its own compliance obligations, failure modes, and risk profile. That strategic, detail-oriented thinking is what clients rely on when the stakes are high.

Away from work, I'm a passionate advocate for organ donation — a cause that is deeply personal to me. As a liver transplant recipient, I understand better than most what it means to be given a second chance. I serve as Co-Chair of Transplant Australia Football Club and have represented Australia at the Transplant Football World Cup — a testament to the resilience, discipline, and determination I bring to everything I do.
